Amer Mdanat is NXN’s General Manager for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and one of the founding partners of NXN. He leads NXN business and operations in KSA, bringing together industry, technology, and services teams to help customers align and accelerate their digital transformation journeys. Amer also works closely with high profile Saudi private and public sector stakeholders, supporting the kingdom’s efforts to meet the strategic goals of Vision 2030.
With over two decades of ICT industry experience, Amer brings NXN customers expertise in digital and smart city transformation, smart service adoption, and digital transformation in the telecom sector.
Amer previously co-established and led NXN’s smart city consulting practice, developing the company’s smart city intellectual property and delivery capabilities. He is experienced in leading complex multi stakeholder smart city projects, developing masterplans, transformation roadmaps, operating & governance models.
Prior to joining NXN, Amer has had a long track record in working with some of the top names in the ICT industry including Cisco, Intel Security, McAfee, and Huawei, where he was the director for their Smart City business globally. Previously, Amer led the mobile business for Cisco in the MEA region and was a member of the “big bets” team developing Cisco’s global telco offerings, ecosystem, and GTM.
Amer holds a B. Eng (Hons.) degree in Telecommunications from the Queen Mary College, University of London, and has earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Smart Cities from ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
